Colored tiles (and maybe all buildings)

Recommended Posts

Make the tiles (wires and maybe all buildings) inherit the shade of color of the material it's built from. E.g. Granite tiles become more grayish, obsidian - darker, Sandsdown - brownish, steel object being shiny etc.. Or maybe inherit the texture of the material when it's in raw form.

This has a practical sense as it will help you to find an object built from a wrong material before it overheats or breaks.

You should try out a mod from my modpack:

it does exactly what you described - applies color on tiles and buildings. My main motivation was to be able to tell gold amalgam machinery from copper and iron. IMO it also looks cool ;D Its especially useful now, when we have steel and space materials.
