QoL and Other Suggestions

I've been keeping a list as I play; here's what I have so far (I'll update with more as the ideas come to me):

 

-Make screen panning consistent on all screens: The right mouse button is used to pan around the main map, but I have to use the left mouse button to pan around the Jobs/Research screens. What is more annoying is that accidentally clicking the right mouse button to pan while in those windows closes said windows.

-Include a collapsible minimap

 

-Have a warning popup appear when you queue a deconstruct order on the main map that is going to also deconstruct an underlying power line/gas pipe/water pipe. I don't know how many times I've inadvertently cut a pipe and have water spill all over the base. An alternative would be to only allow deconstructing those things on their respective overlay screen.

-Confusing spaghetti mazes of pipes and power lines easily form. One idea to mitigate this could be to provide the ability to color code sections of power lines and pipes to more easily distinguish different groupings (e.g. an orange pipeline that is connecting a pump to hydroponic farms intersects a purple pipeline carrying polluted water to a metal refinery)

 

-Customizeable notifications. Have as many or as few notifications gracing the left side of the screen as you want.

-Customizeable side planner on the right side of the screen (like in Paradox games). Those collapsible resource lists on the right side of the screen would themselves be in their own master collapsible menu, alongside other menus such as a list of map bookmarks (that you could individually label), a list of dupes, current status of research, etc.

-Make it so that the most recently opened window is on top: For instance, if I click a tile and have the information screen for that tile open, and then click on the consumables list, that information screen stays on top, obscuring the window I just opened, and forcing me to close the info screen even though I want to keep it open.

 

-The ability to queue research items (not just items that are prerequisites)(like in Civilization games).
