ezekel
Hey everyone, just bought mark of the ninja todayAnyway getting straight to the point, the game has an FPS cap of 60 (or lower?)So in fullscreen mode it put my monitor down to 60hz, so this resulted in a mess and I had to go into windowed mode, my monitor is outputting 120hz in windowed but the game is still outputting 60 frames, so I'm getting real motion sick from it.I tried looking for a change in config files but didn't find anything, so I'm asking for help here.. there's no way I'm going to able to go through the game w/out getting massively sick. What kind of monitor and video card do you have? I'm not affiliated with Klei in any way, so hopefully I can give you a solution that actually works and not have to worry about consequence lol. If possible, find out the non-native modes your monitor can display in the resolution you want (1080p, 16:9, etc.) If you got better results above 60hz, try 70hz and so on. Update your video card driver and install the graphics software that comes with it (assuming it's nVIDIA or ATI) and see what frequency changes you can force on it. Also, open the Compatibility Tab on the MOTN application exe and disable themes and try other compatibility modes.
ezekel
I'm not really sure what you're going on about, and if the devs are afraid to reply because of "consequences" then that shows their lack of maturity and I might as well just go ahead and contact steam support asking for a refund because I followed their support rules on attempting to contact the developers first. As for my monitor it'sXL2420T (1920x1080 native @ 120hz) - playing mark @ 1600x900 windowedgpu is gtx 680 2gb vram on 310.70 WHQL driversFrom what I see there's no way to change it in the config, and putting it in windowed solved the forcing 60hz, but it doesn't lift up the framerate cap. Anyway thanks for at least replying. I'll give it a few more days and then I'll just go and contact steam support because I haven't touched the game since for how motion sick I got; and no where in the system requirements on the store page did the game label that it was framerate locked: http://store.steampowered.com/app/214560/
