Dupe design mode

First of all I really enjoy playing Oxygen Not Included, but especially as it's continuously being developed I'd like to submit my suggestion. I've searched the forums and haven't been able to find anything on this, I haven't read all developer logs, if they mention why this is not included I'll delete my post.

Current situation:
I'm not a very good player and am desperate to get the most specialized dupe for each task so the performance of my base is optimal. So I spend a lot of timeĀ  shuffling dupes at the start and loading the point right before a new dupe becomes available. There's no recognition for not using the shuffle method or loading the game.
Edit: So the only benefit to not keep trying for the perfect endlessly is time spent.

Requested change:
Make a separate game mode where dupes can be designed by the player. This allows the player to design dupes specialized for a single task. In order to keep things balanced the dupes could be nerfed.

Story behind this:
Due to better understanding of genetics we're now able to determine the qualities dupes will have at design time.

Ways of giving players recognition for using the dupes they got at random, this could be available in a separate game mode as well:
- Determine the next set of dupes after one has been chosen or the whole set has been rejected.
- Don't allow shuffling dupes at the start (the bad ones could still be made to die).
- Make an online mode that only allows one save game.
- Add research/building that increases the number of dupe options or allows the player to affect the random generation of dupes in some other way.
