Beefalo Problems

Arash70
  • Pending

Pre-requirements:

A naturally spawned beefalo (in-heat or normal) with some children (preferably a day 36 or 71 beefalo)

Glossamer's saddle (saddle_race)

Beefalo hat

Problems:

1&2-Saddled beefalo doesn't orphan its children and sometimes suddenly starts following its herd.

3-Saddled beefalo (specially in its heat-state) loses speed and the ability to ask for food (?) and suddenly loses obedience (and tameness?)

4-Taming an in-heat beefalo is sometimes possible, sometimes not.

Steps to Reproduce
1-Approach a beefalo which has children and is in heat. 2-Wear beefalo hat 3-Give it 10 twigs to reach required obedience points 4-Put on a glossamer's saddle on it 5-Test it

so wait what is it you are reporting?  when a beef isnt domesticated it will always want to go back to the herd. When its out of heat it will walk back if it loses track of the player. While in heat it will walk back as soon as the player is out of its immediate vicinity. The child beef always follows its mother until it turns.

also in heat beefalo never ask for food but you can still feed it you just got to keep the food values in mind or you can feed it to where it farts to keep a visual food cue. and well the speed problem might just bee a connection problem cause it does happen a bit to people that are lagging in a server you end up being a bit slower.

Go and test a little bit then reply such comments :|

The beefalo loses track of its owner when that happens as it goes into the in-heat state.

At last, please learn that assumptions are not experiments. Assumptions based on wiki or your personal experiences with the game doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist.

or maybe there is no problem at all beefalo have a generic ownership not just 1 owner and also all the stuff you had mentioned is basic beefalo practice if you can it would probably be best to actually record the problem and put it here. cause i myself can see you have no problems.  As what you mentioned is what is supposed to happen.  Obs is a free recording and streaming software if you need anything like that in order to provide video evidence. lets try to solve this!
