Typing characters beyond ASCII is unsupported

When typing other languages' characters in game, such as searching items, writing the Sign or naming Beefalos, the text just turns into a question mark, so you can't search or leave messages.

The PC version has no problem.

Steps to Reproduce

Type non-ASCII characters in game, such as Chinese.

Go to bugs

Try adjusting the option for “Small Textures” in the graphic settings. 
 

Small textures aren’t compatible with some characters.

When I enabled this, all the translations just turned into question marks.
