This game is almost unplayable… - This needs to be fixed!

Most of these bugs only apply to long term worlds that are at least a 1000 days large.

Longterm World Bugs:

- I crash every 5 minutes in my 2,000 Day world, and my game never crashes outside of the main base which is about a biome large.

- After crashing in the long term world, half of the time I will get a Loading Screen Freeze, this happens randomly and I can tell it froze because the loading dot animation is paused.

- Infinite loading… screen when loading into a menu, this is caused by a random game crash.

- End User License Agreement Glitch: After the game crashes in quick succession, all player data will not be read and can only be fixed by closing the game, and restarting the Xbox

Features:

- Invite Glitch: When using the built in invite player feature, after closing the menu, there is a chance for the game to crash.

Multiplayer Connection Glitch: Sometimes, all the players in the server will disconnect at the same time even with valid multiplayer requirements.

- Player Menu UI Glitch: When someone joins or leaves the server, and you want to either kick, ban, mute, or view a player via the “Player List” menu, you can’t access the buttons, potentially being dangerous when you can’t kick a briefer or stealer. This can be fixed by going into the caves and vice versa.

Keyboard / Mouse Inputs don’t work; this isn’t probably a glitch, but it should be a feature especially when people prefer playing on Keyboard and Mouse. Note that you can type in chat with a keyboard which is helpful.

Non-Profanity Words being censored; some letters or numbers in certain orders can’t be put in chat. e.g: polar bearger bin, SMP, fossil fragments, and many more I don’t remember recalling.

- Annoying chat system, some commonly used words cannot be put in chat and you only have 64 digits to type with

- Playing in previously played worlds that are hosted by someone else after Merging Accounts will cause your progress in the world to be reset, you will be put back into the character selection screen just like the first time you joined the world.

Splitscreen Crashes; playing in splitscreen mode gives a higher chance for the game to crash.

Bootleg Tossing Option Sometimes Vanishes; Equip a Frostjaw Bootleg, open the map, and there isn’t an option to toss the bootleg.

Frostjaw Bug; Sometimes, Frostjaw Doreen’s drop any figure sketches and sometimes when Frostjaw is killed the game crashes.

- Sunken Chest Does Not Drop Any New Items; I have tried many times to get the new gem trees and archaic boats but they do not seem to drop.

Other Details

These aren’t all the issues I have experienced but most of them are bugs that commonly occur in the game.

I am in Series X and I have small textures enabled.

Steps to Reproduce

Long term worlds are almost unplayable, I listed ways that can possibly trigger the listed bugs.

Other Details: I am on Series X with small textures enabled.

User Feedback

After Update 1.1.173 came out on “DontStarveTogether _1.1.173.0_x64_dv1ec5mkwsb48”, I have noticed a lack of crashes on my main 2,000 day world and most of the issues I have described are fixed, some of the issues still do happen but they occur very rarely now.

I do know a fix for the EULA glitch, but it only works in some circumstances. I will have to dig a little deeper to see if I can find a guarantee fix for this issue.

But what I do know is that if you get the EULA glitch (the glitch that the game deletes your progress) and have at least 1MB of data, the glitch is resolvable.

For me, when I got that EULA glitch, I went to “Manage Game and Addons” and saw that I had ~20MB of data, and I still do have my progress in my account, but I assume that the game is not reading it.

What I did to fix the issue is that you need to close your game and then restart your Xbox, and then your game data should be read.

When I got the EULA previously, I only had around 300KB (Kegabytes) of data and I tried the method to fix the issue, but this time the method didn’t work.

TLDR: If you have game data in your save, and you get the EULA glitch, it is most likely your game isn’t reading your data correctly, and you need to preform a method to get your game to “re-read the data”.
