On console DST when you have Spatializer Circuit equipped, after a few days the Expansive Storage Unit will randomly stop working, despite having full power you won't be able to open it again until remove and reactivate the circuit which damages it while fixing it temporarily until it happens again
Rolling back, rejoining, or going underground also does the same

Waiting a few days while having it equipped, it'll close and stop working until you remove and equipt the circuit again.
