No bearger

Changed autumn from "very long" to "long" and got lots of warning growls, but still no show from bearger. Changed again to default and growling from multiple directions but still no bearger

I have this exact problem too. I'm in my third autumn where Bearger has not appeared (appeared originally in the first few years). Constant growling from start of Autumn to finish and does not appear. I'm on PC. It only happens on this particular long term world I have, I'm not doing anything different with my other worlds and he appears fine. I've tried increasing them to 'more', still nothing.
