Don't Starve crashing on loading screen - Xbox Series S|X

Don't Starve continues to crash on my Xbox Series S when launching the game and appears to be a common issue. It has crashed on multiple occasions today and has also caused my whole Xbox to shut down at one stage.

 

My mate plays on the Series X and has the same problem as I do.

 

Has this always been an issue, or is this new? I really hope the game devs are aware. Hopefully, a patch will be released soon.

 

 

 

 

 

Steps to Reproduce

Just trying to join my world freezes and takes me out of the game

This is happening to me and has been for a long time. It is much worse now. 20% of the time I quit the game crashes. Often times when I tried to load after it crashes it stays "Loading.." indefinitely. This is maddening as you cant play for at least 15mins. It has something to do with reconcile save data between the cloud and the console. This is pathetic.
