Connection issue?

So i play on console version of dst and recently me and my friend tried to play and we cant join each other so when i join him what happens is i go to the loading screen for about 2 seconds then i am sent back to the logging in screen however joining a public lobby i join them just fine i dont know if this is a xbox issue, klei servers issue or just a connection issue please help

i dont know to reproduce this it just looks like it only happens to me and my friend

Since you were able to join any other server just fine, the issue may be related to your friend’s WiFi. Confirm that they are fully loaded in the world and your Friend has either a Moderate or Open NAT Type, Strict won’t work and Moderate sometimes lets other players connect.
