Horizon Expandinator’s effect

When I put on the Horizon Expandinator it works as intended and when I take it off it still lowers below the clouds but doesn’t turn back to normal view, instead it’s in between normal and expanded view. I just found out that boats can reset the horizon view if you keeping hopping between boats
