Game crashes when joining multiplayer

Hello, my game crashes when I try to join an online or lan server for multiplayer. I assume it is because of the new update because I haven't had any trouble playing these last few weeks. I've played almost daily on a lan server with my wife.

Steps to Reproduce

Click to join a multiplayer game 

Go to bugs

I don't think it's that, my nephews have the same problem with one of my worlds. I've disabled auto login and lag compensation on all of our accounts. I think the switch is struggling with the game, especially around the waterlogged biome and above average trees. I had to make a new world for them and didn't explore the whole map because that's when my old world started lagging. I can't even change skins or characters without it crashing.
