can't open a gift box

I can't open the gift box with clothes in the time spent on the server. To do this, you need to press the Y button while standing next to the science machine. 

I do this, the gift opening animation begins, but the action is instantly replaced by an attack, since Y is the button to attack. I tried to change the control buttons in ALL possible ways, it doesn't work and that's it. 

I tried to re-enter that world, but oh, now that gift is just gone. 

Please fix this, I'm very much upset. :((
