Why does drop on disconnect affect the server owner?

If I want to make it so I dont lose everything in my world to griefers I need to have drop on disconnect on. But the downside is that all my stuff drops too which is really stupid in my opinoin. Why does it affect me? If I leave the server everyone else would too thus force dropping everyone else's stuff

Pq: how come we can't report griefers in any way? General question not any

Steps to Reproduce

This isn't so much of a bug than it is a complaint but...

Activate drop on disconnect

Disconnect yourself 

Watch as all of your stuff is on the floor

Go to bugs

exactly this is annoying, but its helpful at same time so i just wish theres were toggles , for if u want it to work on ur self or not as a host
