Happened on v2.005.000 PS5 where I walked up to Pearl and she handed me an absurd amount of bundles of thanks (around 4, and you can see on the left of the image I opened them) as well as her Pearl, except I already did her original quest line ages ago and already completed the lunar quests too. She wouldn't be on the mainland if I didn't interact with all of her tasks. Also I must mention that every time I go near her on a new day she will give me bundles of thanks for no reason. Not sure if this is intended or if it's a bug, but her handing me Pearl's Pearl should definitely not happen post-lunar rifts.
I don't think this can be reproduced unless you're playing on a PS4 save file and transfer it to PS5 after doing all of her tasks and moving her from her island.
