I was playing Spaced Out with several other applications open. Safari on my machine will sometimes cause the system to crash and reboot when viewing YouTube (unrelated problem). I had such a crash while playing Spaced Out and after the reboot I was never able to restart the game. It would sit on the Klei splash screen for a few minutes, then quit the application.
I was able to restart the base game by disabling the DLC*.
I have Catalina 10.15.6, on a Mac mini (2018) 3.6GHz i3, 32GB RAM, external GPU over thunderbolt (AMD Radeon RX560, 4GB); ONI is configured to prefer external GPU. Spaced Out is using Cloud Saves.
*It would be helpful for debug purposes if a download was not required each time the DLC was enabled or disabled. Is there a way to cache this locally so it can switch more easily? Perhaps two different install locations?
EDIT: changed to live branch - this was from the Steam release.
Have a "not clean" system reset while the game is being played. The game was paused at the moment of crash. Before the crash I had resized the non-full-screen window by dragging the window boundaries.
