Scrolling issue with opening and closing the research menu while direction key held down

Simply hold down either A, W, S, D to pan the game world and then also press R to open the research menu. While the menu is open the camera will still be panning in the background. Upon closing the research menu the game will think you still have a key pressed and will keep panning the camera on you. You have to mash the direction keys to try get the camera to stop panning.
