Radbolt joint plate heat transfer bug

dvarjas
  • Branch: Live Branch Version: OSX Pending

It was already reported here that radbolt joint plates don't interact thermally:

In the current version the joint plate actually consists of the joint plate always at 45 degrees, and a 200kg block of plastic, which can heat up, and if it melts, the joint plate is destroyed. It is not clear whether the heat transfer mechanic works as intended for the block of plastic, but it is definitely a bug that the joint plate appears as two entities.

User Feedback

8 months later.... first time seeing this.

I always put radbolt joint plates at the top of my reactors and they were fine.

Today the "plastic" portion of the joint plate heats and melts.

I can't think of anything I was doing different.
