No surface revealed on flipped asteroid

Starting asteroid is a flipped asteroid: I made a rocket on the secondary asteroid (along with a telescope to reveal all the space around). I can't go deploy on my starting asteroid, since its surface is not revealed, (despite being in orbit around it). Other asteroids worked fine for exploration.
