This is a DLC issue I find very difficult to deal with. Anyway, when you make like a one tile wide pit for water and start dumping water into it, when it goes over 1000kg it'll just keep going, starting to pressure damage tiles, even though the space above the tile the water is in is not blocked (except by gas?) In normal base game, the water would begin to fill the tile above the full 1t of liquid tile below.
I've seen it happen in a few different ways:
1. Ice melting in a tile and over filling it, instead of flowing upwards into the next tile, it stays and does pressure damage. Expected behavior: The water would flow upwards and out of the 'hole.'
2. Dumping water into a one tile space from above (bottle emptier), filling the tile to over 1000kg, it keeps accepting water and eventually starts doing pressure damage. It's arranged in a single tile wide pit, 3 or more tiles deep. This way is more intermittent. But happens more than it doesn't. Expected behavior: It would begin to fill the tile above when the lowest tile is full.
3. Deconstructing a tile beneath the above example, when there's over 1t of water above the tile (properly filling 2 tiles above, like 1.5t of water in a single column wide space, filling 2 tiles.) When you deconstruct the lowest tile, the water falls down and behaves normally. Rebuilding the lowest tile forces the water back up, but it doesn't flow further upwards, forcing over 1t of water into the single tile (and doing pressure damage.) This seems to produce the undesired behavior every time. Expected behavior: All the water would be forced up into the same arrangement as it was before instead of all collecting into 1 tile, overpressurizing it.
In all cases, it's a 1 tile wide pit I'm putting liquid into. Also I want to mention the top of the pit is open in all cases, plenty of space above the pit for gases to flow away from the tiles. I'm not sure if it happens under other circumstances and is just less noticeable. I'm also not sure if it's related to gas pressure. Like if the gas pressure is pretty high (1.5kg and above) if the gases are having issues flowing away from the pit to let the liquid come upwards.
Observed in all DLC versions released on Steam. Base game produces all the 'expected behaviors.'
