Hatching/Growing Shove Voles having 150°C

Shove Voles that Hatch or grow up get set to 150°C while the environment/egg/food has around 26°C

Steps to Reproduce

1. Place a Shove Vole egg in a 26 °C environment.
2. Wait for it to hatch.

(happened both in Sandbox and Normal)




User Feedback


Critters hatch at the midpoint of their Comfortable Temperature Range. In this case, Voles are comfortable between -100C and 400C so they would hatch at (-100 + 400) / 2 = 150C

Oh, I didn’t know that. The only thing I found was some old Reddit posts saying vole eggs hatch based on the surrounding temperature. Still seems a bit weird that they're hot even though both the eggs and their surroundings are cool.

It used to be all over the place but was changed in FPP. Most critters were at 20C, but there were a few exceptions like dreckos/slicksters
