One of my dupes was performing the eating animation in place of various others. No other dupes seemed to be affected. You can see him here chewing away happily while flipping compost and mopping: https://i.imgur.com/EsqVKkT.mp4

For ranching, farming, and supply errands he was performing the correct animations, but for pretty much everything else he just kept on chewing.
Unsure. Restarting the game solved the problem for now, and I haven't seen it before or since.
