Summary: when drowning and standing upside-down on an air-filled Airflow tile, Mesh tile, or Pneumatic Door tile, Glossy Dreckos are unable to path away from those tiles. They therefore drown.
This also occurs if the airflow tiles are replaced with Mesh tiles or Pneumatic Doors. I haven't tested extensively, I only know this particular situation causes the issue every time.
No mods (I have never modded the game).
Steps to Reproduce
Steps to Reproduce:
- Build the structure (see image)
- Do NOT add water yet. Fill it with oxygen.
- Add a bunch of glossy dreckos
- Wait for some to walk on the ceiling
- Pause the game. Fill everything with water except the one tile on the left (past the U bend).
- Unpause. Glossies will start drowning.
- Pause. Use "show navigation" on various glossies. Glossy Dreckos which are on the airflow tiles will be unable to navigate off of them. Glossies on the walls/floor will be able to navigate anywhere. BUT if they choose to walk up onto the airflow tiles, they will suddenly get "trapped" like the others.
- Unpause. Some glossies will go across the airflow tiles and get stuck, others will correctly navigate to the oxygen tile.
- All glossies which get stuck on the airflow tiles will drown.
Expected Behavior: Glossies will path towards safety when drowning.
Actual Behavior: Drowning Glossies upside-down on airflow tiles do nothing, and therefore die.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
