Bad Performance and stutters

Hi,

i have a very bad Perfomance with Space Out.

Short time after start, when choosing Dups, the game is stuttering. In Colony view the game becomes unplayable.

The Game seems to run totally on 1 of 4 Cores (25% l) and 2,5 - 3gb RAM.

The Base Game is running quite good and i had never such performance problems.

System:

  • Linux 4.15 Ubuntu 18.04 64bit
  • Core i5-2500K
  • AMD JUNIPER HD5770
  • 8GB Ram
  • Build EX1-445422

I've kind of noticed things as well from my end.

 

Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia / Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic; Kernel: 4.15.0-128-generic x86_64; LightDM 1.26.0/MATE 1.22.2

Intel i7-3770K, 3.5 Ghz; Nvidia GTX 670 (nvidia drivers); 16GB DDR3

 

Normally I have video/audio playing on another monitor, periodically I get massive frame drops and slowdown in game and system wide. Even on slowest speed I'm noticing stuttering in game. After a few minutes, this will clear up and game will return to normal. This situation effects video display from sites such as youtube and twitch. This situation also only occurs while also playing Oxygen Not Included (DLC). 

I'm also noticing what appears to be a memory leak, or related issues to a memory leak. This behavior seems to get worse over time. Memory usage increases slowly through the game. This is independent of colony size, since it has occurred in my test world which runs static sizes over long periods of time.
