Normally, when rockets are controlled by Automation Signals, they will not launch from a launch pad unless they have the capacity to travel the full distance they are requested to travel (double that if Round Trips are requested). However, if the rocket is solely piloted by a Robo-Pilot Module (from the Spaced Out and Bionic Booster Pack DLCs), the rocket will not wait to receive the proper number of datapacks before being automatically launched. This can result in rockets stranding themselves out in space on subsequent missions.
Steps to Reproduce
- Setup a rocket to travel 1 hex away from its starting planetoid, and make sure it is filled with 100 Datapacks
- Set the rocket to perform round trips
- Setup a fuel loop to the rocket
- Send an ON signal to the rocket platform, telling the rocket to launch
- While the rocket is absent, lock down any datapacks so that they cannot be accessed by duplicants
- Wait for the rocket to make 13 launches from the planetoid
- On the thirteenth launch (with 4 Data Packs), the rocket will get stuck in space (instead of staying on the launch pad waiting for Data Packs)
