If a weight plate is constructed and configured while paused such that on unpause it should start emitting a green signal it will change its animation state but will not change what automation signal it is emitting, continuing to emit the default Red. This does persist through save reload for most cases. Bug was originally noted in a heavily modded game without sandbox enabled, but only able to be recreated consistently in sandbox.
Provided save has eight example setups, from left to right:
1. Weight plate built before automation wire and configured for green < 10 kg. No weight present.
2. Weight plate built after automation wire and configured for green < 10 kg. No weight present.
3. Debris spawned in the target tile, weight plate built before automation wire, left at default green > 10 kg. This setup does not correctly change the state of the plate when unpaused, but will function as expected after save/reload.
4. Debris spawned in the target tile, weight plate built after automation wire, left at default green > 10 kg. This setup does not correctly change the state of the plate when unpaused, but will function as expected after save/reload.
5. Weight plate built before automation wire, left at default green > 10 kg, and debris spawned in target tile.
6. Weight plate built after automation wire, left at default green > 10 kg, and debris spawned in target tile.
7. Debris spawned where weight plate will be built, weight plate built before automation wire (displacing debris to on top of it), left at default green > 10 kg.
8. Debris spawned where weight plate will be built, weight plate built after automation wire (displacing debris to on top of it), left at default green > 10 kg.
In any setup where the bug persists through save/reload changing the setting of the plate or forcing its state to change through a mass change will cause the plate to begin behaving as expected.
Pause game. Have Sandbox enabled. Build a weight plate and associated automation while paused. Either configure weight plate to send green below X mass, or spawn >X mass on top of weight plate to satisfy its setting. Unpause game. Weight plate will switch to correct animation but automation port output will not change.
