Playing with the new Alveo Vera plant had me with a ton of Oxylite dropped on the ground at the bottom of my base. I Place a ton of those plants down there to make some oxygen for my base for a while, because I didnt want to run on Rust Deoxidizers and flood the bottom of my base with Chlorine.
After running both of them for a bit, I stopped the Rust Deoxidizers because the Alveo Vera plant was just demolishing the Carbon Dioxide! Wow! I found that the Chlorine from the Rust Deoxidizers had completely vanished too. wow?
I first thought this was an issue with the Alveo Vera plants themselves, but after some testing I have narrowed it down to the dropped Oxylite, and any dropped Oxylite in general, to be the culprit destroying other gasses in its tile.
TLDR Seems like gasses that exist on a tile that dropped Oxylite also exist on will vanish quickly if they are not Oxygen.
Attached is a save file of this bug happening naturally with a regular Alveo Vera Carbon Sink at the bottom of a base.
Something I saw but struggled to reproduce was gasses reappearing for a moment after they had been completely destroyed, only for them to disappear again.
1. Place any amount of the Dropped Item Form of Oxylite in a row on the ground in a room
2. Place Oxygen and other Gasses in the same room (Tested with Chlorine, Natural Gas, Carbon Dioxide)
3. Watch as any non-Oxygen gasses that exist on the same tile as the Oxylite get smaller and smaller rapidly until they disappear and Oxygen takes their place. (See Video)
