Frequently, the game will fail to open. Asking Steam to close the game will close the main window, but a zombie process remains. Using Process Hacker reveals that a zombie thread is running that is trying to create a memory file through the `fmodstudio.dll`.
This thread/process cannot be stopped or killed, even by an admin user of Windows.
The game refuses to relaunch until this process/thread is killed. Restarting the computer is the only way I have successfully killed this process/thread.
Open game in Steam.
Sometimes, the game will freeze and never get to the main menu.
Ask Steam to close the game.
Observe that Steam still thinks it is running.
Open Process Hacker on Windows to see the thread information in the properties of the zombie process.
Attempt to close this zombie process by any other means necessary besides restarting the computer and see that you cannot.
