Worldgen Seeds

There are a ton of forums and threads out there where people discuss which Worldgen Seed number is the best "world" for lack off a better word. 

However, even you type those numbers in the 'Worldgen Seed' space in 'Custom Game,' the  world that is generated is still a random map instead off one that matches others maps. 

Steps to Reproduce
Select new game Select custom game Type a desired number in the Worldgen Seed space from one on a forum.
Go to bugs

I started to search for good seeds and had the same conclusion as yours...
I made the test with my own previous maps, using their seeds to "recriate" a new base from zero... but the maps were random.
I am sad for not having the power to select a good map before the game start... However... for a complete random game, that would be "cheating" :p
So... lets keep playing on random maps
