When I load up a new or old save, my mouse is receiving lag inputs every few seconds.

First, I would like to say this game is amazing and I truly wish for a solution to continue the fun.

Second, and the main problem, my game no matter what save (create a new one or load an old one) has a consistent mouse lag. (Mental Image) Imagine, you choose your dupes and start a world, and you start trying to give dig commands. Within just giving the dig command, you notice the cursor doesn't move as you have just 1 second ago swiped left on the same mouse. The cursor has some kind of major delay where it will just sit for 1 or 1.5 seconds and then register the action you did those prior seconds ago. I apologize if this is long, but I truly am new to this game and have tried so many things to bear through this issue.
