I found some clothing and moved it into the storage container shown below. After equipping this clothing to my dupes, I noticed it was still showing as present in the container. I then reassigned a piece of clothing, which unequipped it from the dupe it was previously assigned to. It is now floating in the air but cannot be interacted with/swept. It also still shows as present in the container.
Update: The clothing items have now disappeared completely, but still appear in the storage contents. After destroying the storage container, it yielded no items.

1. Sweep clothing into a container 2. Equip clothing (tested with snazzy suit and cool vest) 3. Reassign or unequip clothing
