Unable to do adv research after building supercomputer but when novice research is already completed

I am playing ONI Spaced Out and discovered that I am unable to do the advanced research portion of the decontamination tech. I was able to do it in a prior game, but in this setup I had completed the novice research on the decontamination tech but my supercomputer had not yet been built by my dupes. Once it was built, my researcher (who can do advanced research and has research prioritized) will not do the advanced research on that tech ONLY. He will do it on other techs, just not decontamination.
