It seems like when a new Dupe joins the adventure he or she does not get a cot automatically assigned.
Though it was slightly better with the first 3 (2 got automatically assigned but the last one did not) most after seems to have not gotten a cot automatically assigned.
Assigning the cot to them works as expected.

Accept new dupe and wait for night.
