Sweeping Buried Seeds and Food Without Digging

I'm seeing cases where my Dupes are able to sweep food and seeds that are buried objects without digging for them first.

Steps to Reproduce
I marked my Ration Storage as Priority 6. I think it only happens when one dupe has an objective of digging for the buried object while another is sweeping. If the sweeping dupe gets to the buried object before the digger, he's able to sweep it directly.

It looks like it happens even without a dupe assigned to dig for the buried object. A sweeper is able to sweep the food (Muckroot in this example) even though it's buried.
