Sudden Liquid Oxygen at Game Start

At the start of the game I was digging out the rock to the sides of the printing pod and as I dug I suddenly noticed the appearance of liquid oxygen appearing on the ground near my dupes in the area with the liquid listed at -180 C.  I paused the game to examine the liquid oxygen, when I un-paused the game, the game froze for a moment then crashed to desktop.

The only thing I did different than usual is that I tried to set to build a number of tiles early on, more than I had at that point enough sandstone to build the tiles with resulting in a grayed out menu.   So I waited as they dug up the surrounding sandstone and could build the tiles.  After this I noticed liquid oxygen on the ground.
