Signal Counter resets to 0 in simple mode, despite tooltip

The tooltip of "advanced mode" for the signal counter reads "in advanced mode, the signal counter will count from 0 rather than 1..."

which means simple mode is expected to count from 1. however, resetting it with the UI in simple mode sets the counter to 0 instead of 1. is resetting to 0 while in simple mode, intended behavior?

if it is, it would be nice if i could somehow manually increment it without having to install things i otherwise would not have installed to fix the issue of it starting at 0.

from the tooltip, expected behavior would be it resets to 1 when on simple mode, resets to 0 when on advanced.

main question being is if 0 in simple mode is intended behavior.
