Rex not giving feather when sheared

I have a Rex and when I try and shear it I don't get any feathers. In the attached save I have four feathers, the Rex gets sheared and I still have four feathers even though the Rex's scale growth goes from 100% to 0%. I ran into this issue once and a reload fixed it but that doesn't seem to be working anymore. I've tried reloading this save and backing completely out of the game and coming back in but every time the Rex is sheared it doesn't generate any feathers.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Load save
  2. There is a shearing station below the base in the same room as a Rex with 100% for it's scale growth
  3. A dupe will come along to shear the Rex. The Rex is sheared but does not provide any feathers.

Is there a solid tile left to the shearing station with a buried object in it? That's where the feathers drop
