Randomly generated duplicants in care packages is a bad game mechanic

I know it's strange to bring up an issue like this when the game has been out for years at this point. Better late than never, I guess.

Currently duplicants from care packages have their stats completely randomized on every game reload. This means that most of the time you get completely gimped or unfitting dupes and occasionally you get a dupe that's not terrible. But crucially this choice is re-rolled on game reload, which incentifies reloading the game multiple times to get the desired outcome, which is especially crucial during first couple of cycles where each dupe is really important.

This mechanic is inconsistent with the process of generating starting dupes during colony creation (that can be rerolled without going through the whole process of reloading/creating a new world).

The problem is obvious enough that there are multiple "most subscribed" mods addressing it in various ways : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2856555858 and https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1838445101

I personally don't like how those mods have options to just straight up assign arbitrary traits and stats to printed duplicants, that feels like cheating. However, spending 30 seconds to reload the game multiple times to generate a duplicant that's not terrible is even worse, and it feels like a reward for wasting time rather than doing something smart.

What's the solution? I don't know. In my opinion, there should at least be an option to reroll duplicants in care packages same way how there's an option to do so during colony creation. That option would still rely on randomness, which is still not great, but at least it's infinitely better than reloading the game for half an hour.

I'd say a better option would be to have a way to pick traits for dupes based on some sort of a point budget system, but maybe that's too much to ask.

Steps to Reproduce

- start the game

- wait for the first care package

- start suffering
