Do you know if I need to have installed all the versions of the Visual C++? I mean, the 2008, 2010, 2015...? I have tryed all that you suggest to eliminate this error but still can't play this awesome game. Please someone help me!
Also, I have read something about the SimDLL.dll file; if I modify the name of this file the game starts to generate the world but it stop and freeze at 51.8%
Steps to Reproduce
Run game, select New Game, "generating word" appears, crash showing my VC++ 2015 is not installed

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
