One Mimika Bud produced two Mimikas

I simply loaded my game, then saw immediately how the Mimika Bud produced two Mimikas. I only have one Mimika Bud in this room and both Mimikas are just born. So it must be that two came out of one Mimika Bud and it is indeed only One Mimika Bud (Mimika Bud x1). Both have 0/5 years age, same temperature:

You can see the area is closed and no other Mimika Bud is apparent. I did not just fly over from somewhere else.
