Platform: Linux x64
Version: Oxygen Not Included, newest version, fully updated to latest, without Spaced Out DLC.
Exhibit 1 - A duplicant travelling via Transit Tubes laid inside of liquid (hot water in this case).
Expected: No "soaking wet" or "Toasty Surroundings" status
Result: No "soaking wet" or "Toasty Surroundings" status, since Transit Tubes are shielded against the outside environment.
Exhibit 2 - A duplicant travelling via Transit Tubes laid inside of natural gas
Expected: No status modifiers regarding the harsh environment, since the tube should be shielded from gases outside the tube
Result: "Major Eye Irritation" status. Looks like a bug, to me, if the water does not affect dupes inside of the tube, gas should also not affect them
I sincerely hope this is not an expected behaviour of the game engine, this does not seem consistent and does not make sense. The pneumatic transport system actually requires hermetic sealing since it stops working when proper pressure is lost.
Duplicants should be completely shielded from external environment while travelling in the tube (except high temperature of course, because plastic is not a perfect insulator).
1. Build a transit tube going via large amounts of chlorine, natural gas or hydrogen
2. Let the dupes travel via the tube
