Linux keyboard binding not working

Running Ubuntu LTS 18.04.

Every now and then the linux keyboard binding stop working. I can remap them to non letter keys (US keyboard) to:

  • arrows
  • punctuation
  • for some reason the letter E is the exception
  • the number 1 maps to enter, 4 to tab.. some don't work..., characters on number keys can't be mapped

One day from the next, no idea how to reproduce it.

I found it guys! Letter keys are not working if you start the game with non-US keyboard layout (in my case, RU). Trying to switch it inside the game doesn't help. You need to quit the game, set layout to US and start it again. If this matters, my shortcut for switching layout is Left Ctrl + Left Win.
