OS : Ubuntu 16.04 64 bits
Laptop model : Dell XPS 9560
CPU : Intel i7-7700HQ
GPU : Nvidia GTX 1050, with proprietary driver version 384.90
I played the game on windows 10 with the same laptop, and didn't have this issue.
I noticed this problem with all the saved I played so far (new and existent).
Also I can sometime catch a glimpse of the germs in the water when closing the overlay with the button on the UI, but never when I press Escp or F9.
Steps to Reproduce
Ingame, open the germ overlay.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
