Jawbos getting stuck in terrain

Sparkrabbit
  • Branch: Live Branch Version: Linux Pending

Jawbos repeatedly get stuck in terrain when they age up. This is not something limited to trying to cram them into a ranch, since this will still occur with wild Jawbos. If there is a tile to the right or top right of the  Jawbo fry when it ages, then it will become trapped in the terrain. May also occur with a tile above them.

Steps to Reproduce

Jawbos with tiles to the right, top right, and possibly above them will become trapped on age up. Happens to wild and tamed Jawbos.

User Feedback

So it seems consistent to only getting stuck on tiles to the right or top right of a  Jawbo when it ages up. Can be mitigated by making a wider ranch but its still basically a 1 out of Room width chance to get stuck in the wall.

same issue here.  watched it happen, baby grew up and got stuck in mesh tile when critter size grew from 1x1 to 2x2.  cant think of any way to even prevent this

ok, wait i got an option.  If you don't put the babies in the pool and just let them grow up in the incubator, they'll just pop out and flop* to a pool of water.  this could either be the pool they'll live in or you could put a trap in the pool and have them moved to the feeder

For ranching that might work, but would probably take a far larger ranching area based on the rough math I know for incubators to critter ratios. Doesn't fix the issue of this also affecting wild Jawbos which could lead to critter extinction with bad RNG.

Block top right wall with pneumatic doors. Automate doors. Critters still will stuck, but at least we can free them with one click.

Seems to also mostly be an issue with 3x speed. Needed to drop to 2x due to issues with timers getting out of sync, and Jawbos also happened to stop getting stuck in the fish tank. They still get  stuck in the overflow tile, and may still be an issue if using the smaller ranch design.,
