Help! A black hole ate my game!

can't launch the game since the update this morning, every time i try I get a message "Help! A black hole ate my game!" and when I try to submit a crash report, it just keeps saying "Reporting, Please wait...."

Steps to Reproduce
from Steam, click "Play" and that's it...

I also encountered this when trying to report a bug.  The output_log.txt shows the following that may be related:

[INFO] System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.
  at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.CheckFinalStatus (System.Net.WebAsyncResult result) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 
  at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.SetResponseData (System.Net.WebConnectionData data) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
