Game lags at auto save then closes itself

Having issues currently with the game keeping on closing itself. I'll be playing as normal and then get the lag as it auto saves, then it'll just close the game. This is even on new games 10 or 20 cycles in. Can't work out what is different compared to the other hundreds of hours i've played, is there some way to check an error/crash log to tell me what the hell is happening?
