Game keep crash when i try to save

I had the exact same problem, on my end it was that my computer didn't have enough RAM to play the game and save it at the same time. I have about 4GB of free RAM when nothing is running, which wasn't enough once my base got big enough (cycle 360-ish).

What I did was increase my RAM artificially through my SSD, following the steps in this article :https://www.pcworld.com/article/2840886/if-windows-virtual-memory-is-too-low-you-can-increase-it-but-there-are-trade-offs.html

(control panel -> sytem and security -> system -> advanced system settings -> "advanced" tab -> performance settings -> "advanced" tab -> change virtual memory)

I gave it 4 additional GB of fake RAM and was able to go to cycle 1100 and finish the game without any more issues. Hope that helps.
