I run the game on a Lenovo Thinkpad T420. The default fan settings let it overheat so I use an application called TPFanControl to increase the CPU fan speed. Whenever I have the game open, the fan speed reduces, the CPU temp goes to maximum and the game inevitably starts lagging.
