Game frozen in research tree

The game frozen some time after I enter in the research tree, the sound continue to play but everything else doesn't work, I can't move the mouse, no key works, I can't exit the game with alt+tab and I can't go to the Linux text mode with ctrl+alt+F1, what usually works when something crashes in Linux but not in this case, I always have to restart my PC. The game works fine until I have to enter in the research tree, I unistalled and reinstalled the game but the problem persists.
